Hi,

You will need to ask your dermatologist for some topical antifungals, steroid ointment after his physical examination. A lot of causes of bad odor armpit are named medically as bromhidrosis, apocrine bromhidrosis, osmidrosis, ozochrotia, fetid sweat, body smell, or malodorous sweating.

Always take hot bathes with anti-fungal shampoos and dry your body well as bacteria, fungi and most microorganisms that causes bad odor likes humidity and moisture.

The use of alcohol swabbing, keeping your armpit dry and don't leave sweat there. Always go for a fast wash and a clean dry toweling. The main idea is to avoid sweating and to maintain antiseptic clean self hygiene to your self (sometimes it is infective so prevent using other persons towels).

Medications called anticholinergics, taken by mouth, are sometimes used in the treatment of both generalized and focal hyperhidrosis. Ask your diabetologist if it is the main reason for excess sweating arm pits or if there is another underlying cause.

Hope the above information helps you. Any further clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards,
Dr. Ahmed Aly Hassan
