How Can Unwanted Pregnancy Be Prevented After Intercourse?

Good day! Im taking althea pills for 5yrs. But after i had my menstruation last june 25, i stopped it because i feel like my menstruation is quite not normal than before. My husband and i had an intercourse last july 23, and i didnt take althea pills because im quite confident that it is safe since i am expecting my menstruation this week. The problem is, until now im not having my menstruation yet. Please help me, is it possible for me to take emergency pills?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, you should not take pregnancy pills now because it's already more than 72 hours.
In my opinion, you are mostly having hormonal imbalance and not pregnancy.
So better to consult gynecologist and get done hormone levels, Urinary pregnancy test and ultrasound abdomen.
If you are not pregnant then you hormonal imbalance is more likely.
So start hormone pills to regulate hormones.
Once your hormones are normalize, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
