Hello doc, Hope you are doing good,,, We recently got married,,,and don t think of baby as of now,,,,it is just 8 days now from expected day for periods,,, conducted test at home got two line i.e positive I believe,,,,!! Do I have any options risk free that I can have as of now,,,,!! Please advise

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take emergency contraceptive measure like hormonal pill (unwanted 72). It is ideal for emergency situations. It will cause withdrawal bleeding after 3 days. This will terminate pregnancy. Better to avoid unprotected Intercourse if you don't want pregnancy and use condom or regular OC (oral contraceptive) pills. Since you are new in your married life, I suggest you to consult gynecologist for contraceptive options.
