Hi Doctor It was observed two stones of 12mm and 6mm in the ureter and doctor inserted a double J stent for me.I feel so much pain after during these days and the doctor said it maight be due to the stone. After that they did an ESWL procedure to break the stones. They ask me to meet again in another 10 days, but as of now I didn t have any pain but I didnt feel that the stone pass through the unine.I am taking for last teight days cistone tablet 2 per three times a day and Epimag podwer three time a day.Is it mandatory that I will feel the stone passing through the urine or it mighe have brocken so minute. How safe is the ESWL procedure?
“As” per your clinical history is concerned you had two stones in the ureter one is 12 mm and other is 6 mm in size. As you know stones greater than 7 mm in size can not come through urethra so surgical intervention like Ureteroscopy is required where stone is broken and collected in a cage and a stent is fixed, so they did that procedure as mentioned by you. As both stone were broken and removed so there was no more stone present less than 7 mm so ESWL was not necessary at all. So do one ultrasound and confirm that stone present or not first.
Hope that helps
