How Can Urinary And Fecal Incontinence Be Treated?

8 years ago I had a transvaginal mesh sling inserted for urinary incontinence. Now at age 82 I find I must urinate every 90 minutes or thereabouts. This includes during the night. Do I require another surgery? I also endure rectal incontinence. Are the two related?

Hi,

As you explain the history there are two things that should be taken into consideration: If this is a side effect of the surgery or is a muscle problem.

Your doctor should advise you on this issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jnikolla,
