How Can Vaginal Discharge With Odor After Intercourse Be Treated?

I'm 25 years old and have had hpv in the past. It's been a couple years and my doctor has me back to a regular pap cycle of every year or two but I still have chunky white discharge and sometimes when me and my bf have sex it smells really fishy, is that normal or should I be worried that the hpe is coming back? is there any way to get rid of the discharge? I don't like to douche very often cause I find it stings with the store bought stuff, is there a better alternative? help!!!
