How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

I had a yeast infection about 3 weeks ago and got a pregnancy test and it turned out negative. The doc said I had a yeast infection so I took Monistat and only did it for one day and not sure if it worked because I was still itchy and such. So I took another one that was the one day only Monistat and that was about 4 days or so ago and I'm currently having brown discharge and it is pretty smelly. There was also a little blood but nothing spotty I just noticed it randomly. I am also a little itchy still and not sure what the cause of it is or if it is serious. Any suggestions or opinions ?

Hi,

It sounds like you may have something other than yeast. You need to see the doctor again and get some testing done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
