How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

hie  how are you?im aged 21 been having a problem with discharge went to a doctor they said it Bv they gave me medication but later my husband started having serious white stuff on his penus i later realised i might have vaginal yeast infection i bought medication but still it still comes back .i also had ovarian cyst 3 months ago but now its no more but am failing to get pregnant .i usually have abdominal pains a lot .please help

Good day to you. Thanks for the query. I have gone through your history. You have vaginal discharge along with pain abdomen. You can have bacterial vaginosis or some fungal infection. I would suggest that you do vaginal swab and culture after stopping all the treatment for three days. You also need to do to Pelvic Ultrasound to rule out any pelvic infection. Doctor will prescribe you antibiotic or antifungal according to culture report.
As for your husband, white discharge from penis can be due to gonorrhea or non specific urethritis ( which is infection of the urethra). I would suggest him to do Penile swab and early morning urine sample test. He will also need to be treated according to result of the urethral swab.
Start treatment only after reports so that medicine will hit the right organism.
Meanwhile take care of your personal hygiene. I hope this will help you.
