How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

I accidentally put hemorrhoid cream to close to my vagina and it is now very inflamed. I read up on symptoms and it sounds like bacterial vaginosis. Thoughts? What should I do next? Trying to stay anti-biotic free because I am prone to yeast infections.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi. There may be an exacerbation of yeast infection in your vagina because the hemorrhoid cream contains steroids (which are used to lower inflammation in Piles) Now, what you can do is to avoid this mistake again in the future. I suggest that you douche your vagina and take ibuprofen 3 times a day. You should be better in 2 days. After this you can stop taking ibuprofen.
Thanks. Dr Neel Kudchadkar
