How Can Vaginal Itching Be Treated?

my 16 yr old says she has vaginal itching accompanied with a rash. First started a few weeks ago and thought it was irritation from scented bath bombs so she stopped using them as well as body wash or anything fragrant in bath or shower. It got better but now has come back and is very uncomfortable. She plays b-ball so she is in sweaty gym clothing often. Def not sexually actively. Just wondering if there’s any harm in using an over the counter yeast infection to see if it helps.

Hello,

You can use over the counter yeast infection ointments like miconazole. I would also suggest using intimate wash also daily to normalize vaginal pH.
