How Can Vaginal Itching With Broken Skin Be Treated?

Hi there I have what I assume is a yeast infection and the outside of my vagina is very itchy, I have to put a wrapped up icepack on it to relieve the symptoms. I think I have broken the skin from itching which is causing the itch to be worst. Is it true that baking soda in a bath helps get rid of the itching.
