Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with vaginal prolapse yesterday. The soonest date I can see a specialist is Jan. 16. What can I do to minimize this problem? I actually carefully reduce the vaginal protrusion then Kegel like mad. Should I refrain from trying to manipulate this protrusion? Also, depending on the treatment my MD recommends, will I be able to continue intimately with my Fiance? Thank you so much. Patricia
You have to visit a gynecologist and the doctor will evaluate your situation. He will determine the treatment if you need a pessary or reconstruction of pelvic floor by surgery.
Of course, you will continue intimate relationship and it will improve.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
