How Can Vaginal Redness Be Treated?

I have recently been paranoid about herpes and for somewhat of a good reason, but 2 days ago i noticed a small red area near the opening of my vagina. i figure it may be an ingrown hair or an irritatted place but it doesnt hurt, itch, or burn or feel hard to the touch. it is just odd and at the edge of where hair would grow anyway. today i had bloodwork done for hsv anyway although i cant tell if the test will be too premature. i wonder what it could be, any suggestions?
