How Can Vaginal Spotting After Receiving A Depo Shot Be Treated?

I got my first depo shot on October. It is now February and I'm still spotting. I've stopped the shot due to this reason. I've been looking for answers as to how to stop the bleeding but I seem to have not found the answer. What do I do? I've been taking high doses of NSAIDs for 4 days straight and nothing seems to be happening.

Hi,

Vaginal spotting can happen with Depo shots, nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself with out treatment.

Generally, it will settle by itself in couple of weeks. If bleeding is more, you can consult a gynecologist and and start on drugs like Tranexamic Acid to control bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
