How Can Vertigo And Spasms In The Neck Be Treated?

Hello I have been fighting vertigo symptoms for over a month now. I have received MRI and CT scan and they were both clear. I was told by as doctor that I have muscle spams in my neck and traps and that is causing it. I have been going to PT for 5 sessions now and I am still dizzy, it does not go away. I had my ears checked and they said my nasal passages are clear. I just want the dizziness to stop, what can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms can be related to muscle spasms of the neck.

I recommend taking muscle relaxants such as Baclofen.

I also recommend using an anti-inflammatory cream such as Voltaren gel for local application.

If the symptoms continue you should do an X-ray of the neck for further evaluation and specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
