How Can Vomiting And Acid Reflux Be Treated While Suffering From GERD?

I have been diagnosed with GERD, years ago. My Dr. took me off meds as I was doing very well on dietary restrictions. A few days ago, I became very sea sick, while on a short cruise. My question is; will all the vomiting, cause intense burning, from the back of my throat, down into my stomach? I have also had trouble having bowel movements since this happened.

Hello,

Yes, if you vomit the contents of the acid in the stomach, reflux will back, and it will damage the mucosa. So it gets important to have a control on vomiting.

You can take any antiemetic to control that, and kindly do not vomit willfully without a lot of discomforts or you will only damage your food passage and a lot of burning later on. So, kindly do take tablet Domperidone or Ondansetron drug for vomiting.
