How Can Water Retention In The Body Be Treated?

I feel like I am retaining water. My clothes feel tight...even my socks! I have polycythemia vera, which we keep under control with phlebotomies. I have had breast cancer and am on tomoxiphen. But I ve been dealing with both of those things for years. This feeling of water retention is new.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I read your query and I understand your concern. I think you should check blood pressure and do an ECG for heart examination. Also we give Lasix in our clinic for water retention edema.

Best regards,
Dr.Olgeta Xhufka
