How Can Weakness In The Legs Be Treated?

My auntie got sick with the pneumonia and the flu and almost passed after about a week lying down no she s unable to gain full strength of her legs what can I do to help her the doctor says it s some type of muscle and her leg that was affected by the illness can you enlighten me on what to do thank you in advance also she is in rehab

I think in this case it is possible that the infection or the medicines used for treating the infection may have caused some effect on the nerves or the muscles. In this situation, I would recommend a neurological consultation to examine and confirm the diagnosis. Thereafter the tests needed may include- CPK, ENMG. Alternatively there may be a generalized weakness that may have developed after the infection, and she may need a good diet. I would recommend meeting the neurologist so that an early treatment can be initiated. Do let us know the report of CPK and ENMG for further suggestions.
