How Can Weight Gain During Menopause Be Controlled?

going through menopause and the dr gave me prempro I am having a really huge battle with hot flashes and weight gain. what hrt will help with weight gain problems I have gained like 20 pounds this year and very active idk if that s the right med. for me . I have always bee around 145 pounds give or take 5. now I m 165 pounds please help. what prescription would you recommend.... this weight and flashes need to get under control thanks Judy

Hello,

The hormonal changes of menopause might make you more likely to gain weight around your abdomen than around your hips and thighs.

But, hormonal changes alone don't necessarily cause menopause weight gain.

Instead, weight gain is usually related to aging, as well as lifestyle and genetic factors.

So, I recommend to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and drink a lot of liquids.
