How Can Wheezing Be Treated?

I can not stop wheezing. Most of the time it occurs when I am in a horizontal position (for sleep). I am using a nebulizer, oxygen, a bi-pap machine and nothing is helping. The only relief I get is temporary after I drink a hot cup of tea. What can I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation including a spirometry is required to assess the severity of the symptoms. In most of the cases, the patients will improve with bronchodilators.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
