How Can Worsening Depression Despite Taking Wellbutrin Be Treated?

I have been taking wellbutrin and Lexapro for 11 years. And I seem to be more depressed these days than I have ever been. Don t know what to do now. My Dr, says just try to decide what you want to do. He reads the Bible and says it is just normal for some people to be and fight depression. Really don t know what to do.

Hi . Depression can be a very hard disease to live with and if not adequately treated can impact functioning. It can be of benefit to try a different class antidepressant like Venlafaxine if you have not been on one. In not sure whether the may be new stressors in your life at the moment causing exacerbation of your symptoms, if the case it can def be worthwile trying to adress them and combining treatment with therapy
