How Can Wrist Pain And Bulging Caused By Trauma Be Treated?

I am a 56 year woman who fell on her wrist. It hurts on a scale of 1-5 it hurts 2 on a constant basis and 5 if I move it. I had an exray and it is not broken. It has been 3 weeks and while it hurts alot less, I now have a bulge on the outside of the wrist just below the outer wrist bone. Kinda where your wrist bends if you were moving it from side to side. Any ideas.
