How Can Wrist Pain On Specific Movements Be Treated?

Hello, I have had problems with my wrist the past year or so, maybe longer, where I can bend my right hand wrist backwards, but it does bring pain. I have relaxed my wrist for several months on end to allow any healing to take place, although this appears to not have solved the problem. If I do simple things such as push ups, afterwards my right hand wrist is in pain. It only occurs backwards and not forwards. Please help, and thank you very much.
