How Can Yellow Discharge From The Ear After A Surgery For Cholesteatoma Be Treated?

Hi doctor my husband went on ear surgery because of cholstretama .they did extra mastradactonmy ear surgery last December .they said operation is successful but still we can see a yellow thick discharge in his ear. When we went to doctor he was keeping acid .now he is so silent. Can you please help us.

Yellowish discharge after surgery means that the incision would has not completely healed and infected. Oral antibiotic like Augmentin and local antibiotic cream like Soframycin to be applied over the incision site might help. Don't clean ear by self. Don't allow water to go inside ear.
