How Closely Is Valproate/Valproic Acid Administration Linked With Eye Twitches Or Other Eye Problems ?

How closely is Valproate/Valproic acid administration linked with eye twitches/other optic or opthamological complatints, i.e. eye twitching, blurred vision, eyelid twitching, nystagmus, etc.

Is there a link between long-term treatment with such and a more pronounced expression of any of above-i.e. does long record of use of same increase indidence?

If so, is it reversible?

Hi and thanks for the query,

I ma afraid eye twitching is actually a rare effect to actually be observed with this drug. It might be of interest to rule out other health conditions that could manifest themselves as such. I really suggest a proper clinical review by a neurologist. Thanks and kind regards.
