How Could I Check Myself If The Tampon Is Still Stuck Inside ?

I had sex and I think I forgot to take my tampon out... I tried to feel around up there and didn't feel anything, but I think my fingers might just be short. I am not sure if it is lost inside me or not because I am still bleeding from my period. Is there a way to tell on my own if it is stuck without going to see a doctor?
