How Dangeous Can A Heart Murmur Be ?

i just had my first child a 8.1 lb beautiful girl 6-6-07'' today. how dangeous can a heart murmur be so soon my wife father has an enlarged heart were his heart pumps blood out so fast the other chambers cant fill it up fast enough. was wondering if mabye that had an affect on or daughter? she is only one day old and i am a first time dad and cocrened someone please let me know the best options and approch to take i would be devistated to wait to long and find a hole or another defect in her iam only 21 22on 6-16 and need some good sound experienced advise will some one please help and write back asap. you would be a life and family saver and save my heart from worry. thanx hope to hear from somone soon. jeff green father of kylie elizabeth green june 6, 2007!

First of all....CONGRATULATIONS!!! My second daughters name is Kylie and she was born 8-8-03! Second....has the Dr. confirmed a heart murmur?? MOST of the TIME a person can live and entire lifetime with a heart murmur and it will never give them problems. Now, God forbid it comes to this but, both my sister and my Godson have had open heart surgery and yes it is a MAJOR surgery but they have made such advances in the field that is a VERY safe procedure. And believe me, if, God forbid, there is something wrong, you want to find out early and get it taken care of EARLY. Just pray on it...and enjoy your beautiful daughter. She will be fine!! Take care =0)
