One week ago after a meal of sugar and alcohol overload, (celebrating mybirthday) two nights later I awoke with hot flushes. They became worse, probably because four nights later I had a glass of red wine with dinner. I don usually drink alcohol. The hot flushes became worse, they re-occur, during the night, night after night. I didn t realize there was a syndrome for this. I am an 86 year old female, post surgical menopause since 1975. I would like information. Thank you.
Thanks for your query, Drinking alcohol in large quantities can be dangerous as it causes decrease in your breathing ability. Initially alcohol can cause excitement but with increase in alcohol concentration in blood it can cause breathing to slow down, can induce coma or even death, so please avoid taking large amount of alcohol especially at your age
