How Do I Tell My Mom I Want Birth Control ?

My period is late and my mom knows my schedule but hasnt asked. My period normally starts the 1st day of month but it is now the 20th(im still a virgin only 13). |But lately ive been thinking about birth control. Should i go on the pill?

Hi Haleigh. Wow, what a question!! If only more people were wise enough to think about birth control at such a great age. You mentioned you're a virgin. Make it "your" choice, when and with who. There is birth control and there is self control and once again that's "your" choice. How scary is your Mom?? If you think it's going to blow her away, try confiding in a mutual friend who would be comfortable opening up the conversation with her. Speak with your pastor or pastors' wife if you'd feel better talking it over with a woman. You're a very special person so treat yourself and your body respectfully. God bless and good luck.
