How Do I Correct An Electrolyte Imbalance?

hi my name is jennifer i am a nursing student doing a case study on an elderly pt who was given two extra doses of Lactulose she is experiencing symptoms which lead me to assume she is experiencing electrolyte imbalance i am monitoring her i&o, labs, vitals and administering fluids intravenously i was wondering if there was anything else i should be doing for this patient i appreciate your help

ya as lactulose causes diarrhoea if given in excess which will lead to loss of water n salts from the body..u shud get these tests done
● SERUM SODIUM/POTASSIUM
● SERUM CALCIUM/PHOSPHATES
● RENAL FUNCTION TESTS
