How Do I Heal Cracked Lips, Swollen, Itchy?

Hi, my lips have been cracking almost everyday for more than 1 year. Sometimes it turns red, swell, itch and even hurt. Seen three doctors but still the same. I had this after I came back from Bali, Indonesia. My mother suspect is the swimming pool water. Agree? But nothing cures!! :(

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Dry and chapped lips can be due to internal and external factors. Are you on any medicines ? Some of the medicines have chapped lips as side effect. Apply a lot of vaseline on your lips. Take multivitamin and multimineral supplements. Drink a lot of water everyday. Discontinue all your lipstick and lipbalms.
If the symptoms do not get better, consult your dermatologist to take prescription for mild topical steroid like triamcinolone, mix it with your moisturizer and apply !

Hope it helped
