How Does Primolut Depot Injection Work?
hi i m 20 year old,my weight 44.5 and its my 1st pregnancy.
Its my 5th week.I started bleeding yesterday morning.In evening, i went to my doctor and she diagnosis "treatened abortion".She gave me Primoult Depot 250 mg injection.What i want to ask is how long do i have to have these injections? and also do i have to have the injection every week?

HELLO DEAR
I understand your problem, As primolut contains progesterone which is essential hormone for maintenance of pregnancy. You have to take these injection every week till 12 weeks of pregnancy after that progesterone will be produced by placenta then you can stop these injection. If you have still complain of bleeding on primolut you can add HCG injection every fortnightly. And in the last don't forget bed rest. BEST OF LUCK
