Hello, my fiance 38yr had major MI , his main artery was 100% blocked, the operation was done within 1 Hr after MI, he underwent Angioplasty and stenting, after one month he went back to normal, doc said everything is ok, he s taking the medicine and living an ordinary life, he stopped smoking and rests more, my question is: How does stenting affect life spam? Hi,

The stent doesn't affecting the lifespan, the disease does.
They put the stent, opened the blocked artery, which gave a chance to his heart to function normally.
If he continues follow his doctor's advice, take the medications and follow healthy lifestyle, he has good chances, that his disease will not progress quickly and he may have long life.

Wishing a good health to your father.
