I am 37 days into my cycle and have still not got my period, we are trying for a baby. My periods are a bit irregular but i have never been this late. I did an ovulation test and read that i would ovulate on the 16th sept we had intercourse on the 13th. I have done two hpt both negative. have i done test to early ? I have really itchy skin for the last week, backache and feel more tired than usual. could i be pregnant ? when should i do another test ?
Hi, If you had ovulated three days after the intercourse, it is unlikely that conception has taken place unless the sperms are very viable. In the current scenario, you should go for the assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres as your menstrual cycles cannot be predicted with accuracy to depend on the practicality of a HPT. If pregnancy can be excluded, you may need hormones to induce withdrawal bleed and plan further management since you are anxious to conceive. Your symptoms are not specific for pregnancy. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
