How Early Should An Urologist Be Consulted For A Kidney Stone?

Hi. I would want to see first time Dr. Gordon. I was found a kidney stone and the ER MD asked me to see a urologist. I have Medicare A,B. How soon should I expect to be seen as a new patient since my husband is my ride, we live in Live Oak Fl. (2, 1/2 hrs.), and would have to plan accordingly. Thank you very much in advance for your kind answer and time to answer me.

Hello there. I have read through your question and would like to tell you that a renal stone can cause severe pain abdomen . If there is infection it may also cause pain and burning during micturition .So it completely depends on you how long you will be comfortable to postpone the visit. Meanwhile you should get a strong pain killer like advil or Tylenol for pain management. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
