How Early Should One Visit The Doctor Regarding Pregnancy?

Dear Doc

My wife is 41. Pregnancy test kit shows she is 3+ week pregnant. How early should I visit the doctor? I understand pregnancy at this age comes with risks. Is there any immediate medication the doctor can do to minimise the risk? My wife thinks it is still early to see doctor. Thank you.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. She should consult a doctor as soon as possible, as she will be 5 weeks pregnant by her last menstrual period.
She should start taking folic acid tablet daily as it is known to reduce the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
