How Effective And Safe It Is Using Primolut For Delayed Menstruation?
my periods is delay for one week, I really want to have my periods without delay as my husband is coming next week so to try for a pregnancy, doctor told me to take primolut for 5 days three times a day. will this help to have my periods soon. because I saw comments that so many people take this tablet to delay periods and not to have periods, pls answer
Primolut will produce periods in women that have estrogen in the body and are not pregnant. So if you are not pregnant and have had regular periods, primolut will produce periods. However there are a few issues. Periods will come in the next seven days after stopping primolut. So if you take it for 5 days then stop and period will come on any day in the next seven days after you finished primolut.
The most fertile part of the menstrual cycle is from day 10-20 from the first day of menses in women with regular periods. So menstruation and the next 4-5 days after stopping of blood flow [ assuming bleeding for 4-5 days] are not fertile and there is no chance of pregnancy during this time.
Hope I helped. Decide about primolut after considering all this. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
