How Effective Is Deriva C In Treating Acne?

Hi I was taking doxycycline the other day took for a month and stopped because my skin had cleared and u thought all was well. To my surprise a week after I stopped the acne came back worse. My doc gave me another prescription to be repeated and deriva c. How good is deriva c at treating acne?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the Topical gel that is advised to you Deriva C contains Clindamycin that is an antibiotic and Adapelene that is a steroid and this is an appropriate Anti-acne combination and help in clearing acne.
You should continue using as advised and along with it you can start washing your face with Salicylic acid containing face wash, apply benzoyl peroxide gel, do cold compresses and limit sun exposure.
Exfoliate your face twice a week using a gentle scrub.
Maintain a good hygiene to prevent infection..
Drink plenty of water and avoid oily food..
