How Effective Is Rhizotomy For Pain After Spinal Fusion?
I have lumbar disc issues, wear and tear. I had a spinal fusion 25 yrs ago and so have v little cushioning. I have severe pain and had 2 rounds of steroid injections, in last 6 wks, pain no better. Consultant suggested rhizotomy but is it really a good idea, I m nervous it won t work and seems to have a long recovery time. I have a 5yr old son so long recovery not easy to manage! Thank u

They already mention pros and cons of rhizotomy. It will be your decision. get counseling of an anesthesiologist, neuro-physiologist and physiotherapy team. They can give you a glimpse [positive outcomes from rhizotomy are seen]. Do online spine care 'Art of Living' course before surgery, it has proved to be very helpful in similar cases.
