How Effective Is Unwanted 72 In Avoiding Pregnancy?
Hey, I just had unprotected sex with my boyfriend (it has been less that 48 hrs). I am planning to take unwanted 72 pill to avoid pregnancy. Is it totally effective, or it may not work? What if I take 2 pills to avoid risk? Will it s chance of working increase? And what are the indications that the pill worked or not worked(any symptoms) ?

You can take unwanted 72 within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Thereafter, you can get urine pregnancy test (UPT) done to confirm that the pregnancy is terminated. In case, the UPT comes positive, you may try some other method to terminated the pregnancy after consulting your gynecologist.

Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive. It prevents pregnancy if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, earlier it's taken better the results. There is withdrawal bleeding within 3 days of intake such bleeding confirms that the pill has acted. If it is to affect and act a prescribed single dose is sufficient. Doable dose does no increase possibility of success.
