How Fast The Pregnancy Can Be Confirmed?

Hi. I had sex on September 7th and I could possibly be pregnant. I have a scheduled procedure on the 21st but I'm not expecting my period until the 24th. I was wondering if I take a pregnancy test on the 20th if it will be accurate or is it too early? Should I cancel my procedure?

Understand your concern
Pregnancy will detect by USG earliest at 5th week or by 3 week after the conception. So if you had sex on 7th September and conception has been take place, you detect pregnancy earliest at after 3 week (means after 28th September). So procedure at 20th date to detect the pregnancy is very early.
At this time you should go for Blood HCG should be done.
Blood HCG detect the pregnancy 8-10 days after ovulation or 2-3 days after implantation.
So you can go for Blood HCG at 21th. If it is greater than >25 mIU/mL and it suggests pregnancy.
After 3-4 week HCG will double every 2-3 days.
So better to go for blood HCG at 20th and USG at after 28th date.
