How Harmful Is Loop Of Cord Around Foetal Neck?

hi doctor, i am 27 years of age and now 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby.My scan says there is double loop of cord around foetal neck .my fluid is AFI 10.2 cm.Baby weighs around 2.624 kg.Please tell me if the cord seen around the neck is harmful or not.Can i have a normal delivery

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The cord around the neck can result in asphixation especially during the process of delivery. For this reason, depending on the time of delivery a different approach like a c-section may be chosen to avoid undesired complications.
