Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. AFI of 24.2 at 24 weeks of pregnancy makes a diagnosis of Polyhydramnios, which can be due to:
1. Congenital heart disease
2. Chromosomal anomalies
3. Congenital anomalies in fetus like tracheo esophageal fistula
4. Diabetes mellitus
5. Idiopathic, in which no cause is found.
If chromosomal anomalies ae ruled out, then other anomalies should also be ruled out and further management should be done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
