General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Budate is a medication of the corticosteroid type that reduces inflammation in the body. It is used for treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and allergic rhinitis. Salbair Neb is composed of 'Levosalbutamol', which is a bronchodilator. It relaxes the muscles in the airways leading to the lung and improves the amount of air flow to and from the lungs. It is used to prevent and treat the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Levolin is also composed of Levosalbutamol. In cases of respiratory infection or inflammation in children, there will be certain amount of bronchoconstriction, which would make breathing difficult and hence less oxygen supply to the body. Hence, a combination of above medications are prescribed. Once the symptoms subside and get better, such medications can be stopped on the basis of clinical evaluation.
