How Is Chlamydia Infection Transmitted?

Hi, I have been having sex with multiple partners at the sae time and one turned out to be infected by chlamidya. Now I did not have sex with this person but with the third person who was with us, so I m asking (and IU m going to make my tests anyway!) how high is the chance that i have contracted chlamidya in this case? Does it bcome contagious inmeditaly or just after the first symptoms appear?^

Hello,

You can get chlamydia by having vaginal, anal or oral sex with someone who has chlamydia so the chance that you have it is very high.

Please note that most people who have chlamydia do not have any symptoms. Symptoms that may exist are: burning when urinating, abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding between periods or after sex.

Chlamydia is treated with antibiotics. Your partner should be treated as well. After taking antibiotics you should be re-tested to be sure the infection is cured.
You should not have sex for one week after you have finished your treatment.

It is so important to treat chlamydia because it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy or infertility.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
