Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I don t want to make this to long. I ll try to keep it short. My husband and I last had sexual relations on May 2nd. I recently discovered that he had an STD test done on May 23rd and the results came back on May 26th. He tested positive for Chlamydia (and didn t tell me, I found this out because he left his email up on our family computer). I then went myself and got tested, my results were all clear. I then confronted him with it and he swears up and down that he did not have sex with anyone else, but that when he went to Mexico, he went to a strip club and a stripper, touched her vagina and then touched his penis. He thinks thats how he contracted the virus. I say no way in the world thats possible. (he has been contacting other women as well as escorts this past year, that I also found after find the STD test) Is this possible? Is it possible to contract Chlamydia from a girl touching her own privates and then rubbing a mans penis? Is it possible to contract Chlamydia any other way then through intercourse?
*Chlamydia is usually transmitted via sexual intercourse but in certain cases fomites over towels and shared items are as well important in transmitting the disease though very less frequently.
* Ultimately that becomes the issue of fidelity and mutual intimacy which matters a great deal here rather than medical facts of low prevalence.
