Hello,

I can understand your concern. Exermet 500 is Metformin which is used usually in diabetic patients to control blood glucose level. It decreases glucose production from liver and decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, thus beneficial to obese people for weight maintenance. However, it does not decrease weight from what you have. You might need physical regular exercise and restricted fat and sugars in diet for weight reduction.

The side effects of Metformin include some gastric discomfort which is not so severe. Other than that, it is a pretty safe drug for daily use.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
