Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had 5 infusions of Reclast with no significant side effects. My doctor is considering switching to Prolia. I have an auto immune issue and have hives as a reaction to drugs. What should I know about the diffference in these two medications. I have -3 in the femoral neck in my left hip.
Reclast and Prolia are different group of drugs. Reclast is a brand name of Zoledronate prolia is Denosumab. Prolia is considered superior to Reclast and it has got lesser side effects also.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
