How Is A Rat Bite To Be Treated?

Hi, I would like ask how to treat rat bite? My cousin was bite with rat and he try to clean the wound using Alcohol (70% solution) and after that he go back to his bed. For about 10~15mins he felt that his heart is beating faster and he cannot move his body, then the color of his skin turn to white, then he got up and after several minutes his felling back to normal. Please advice us on what we are going to do or what medication should be done? Regards Elmer

Treatment for rat bite is proper wound care, antibiotic like doxycycline, analgesics like aceclofenac, antiacidity agent like pantoprazole. all the symptom you mentioned is because of the fear your cousin has. so do not worry take the medication after consulting your family physician.
