How Is An Endoscopy Done?
I am scheduled for a procedure (endoscopy) where my Dr said he was going to insert something that will be able to monitor whats happening over a 96hr period. The inserted item will be passed through my system & excrered within 7 days. I ve never had an endoscopy & no-one I ve spoken with having heard of this. When my Dr asked if I had any questions I said no because I thought this was routine. I will call his office & asked my questions prior to going in. Are you familiar with this procedure ? If so, what exActly will it monitor? Thank you ll

welcome to hcm ..you will be undergoing capsule endoscopy in this a capsule shaped miniature camera devise will be given to you to swallow as a candy ..and this will take pictures as it will move in your esophagus .stomach ..small intestine and then large intestine ..as it will be passed in faeces it will be processed in lab and all images pr video seen computerised machines ..but mind you please you will not have any duscomfort while capsule is in your body ..just relax and go ahead with procedure .
